"To the Moon & Back" Amazing Casting Resin & Swellegant Pendant

Hi everyone, Lyn Gill here again to bring you a small pendant I created from Amazing Mold Putty & Amazing Casting Resin...
I first started with an original of mine...the Moon Face. Which I molded using Amazing Mold Putty as well as the gear that my Husband found in the parking lot...lol.

I cast both of these in the Amazing Casting Resin & a little Alumilite dye in Black. Then using a few more smaller gears I put this piece together. This time I used a little metal paint & patina by Swellegant on the Amazing Casting Resin & I really loved the results!

What rusty goodness can you find around to make an Amazing Mold Putty mold out of?

Well thanks so much for stopping by today...Till Next Time!

Christmas Tree Ornaments

Hi All, Lyn Gill here again with an Amazing Mold Rubber project for you.
First of all I know it's not quite time to start Christmas projects but I always wait till the last minute to think about how I'm going to decorate my tree. This year I decided to start early...lol. I started with an old hollow decoration from a wreath I had dismantled...

He's cute but I wasn't too wild about the color & I needed more of them so Amazing Mold Rubber was the answer. In a disposable plastic cup I molded the little cherub with the Amazing Mold Rubber & let it set up. Then using Amazing Casting Resin I fill the mold & let it set up & he turned out so cute I was actually shocked when I de-molded him!

I painted him a lovely Turquoise color then added some crackle glaze & a bit of clear glitter and now he's adorable isn't he?!
What will you mold with Amazing Mold Rubber? The possibilities are endless!

Well thanks so much for stopping by today...Till Next Time!

A Little Update!

As some of you may know I suffered a Heart Attack & subsequent Open Heart Double By-Pass Surgery back in May. It took 2 long months in the Hospital & rehab to get back to where I am today...Blessed & so happy to be alive! I had the best Surgical Team & Nurses & am so thankful to them for everything they've done for me!
All of your thoughts & prayers gave me strength & peace of mind to completely trust that all would be fine & I'm so happy to say that I came through it all with flying colors! Although I'm still a bit wobbly on my feet I'm improving every day & should be back on YT very soon.
Until then I've only been doing small projects to keep my creativity flowing...it's only a small Texture Journal 4"x4" & I used DecoArt products as well as some Primary Elements to get the effects.

It's so good to be back in the Studio again & I'm looking so forward to getting back to my New Self...lol...I feel like I've been given a second chance at life & I want to take advantage of every minute of it!
Thank you so much for stopping by & for your support! Till Next Time!

Vintage Floral Pocketwatch Pendant

Hey everyone it's Lyn from LynzCraftz again, here to share some Spring inspiration with you today. The weather is turning sunny & warm & the flowers are sprouting up everywhere.

My Hubby has had this old pocketwatch for some time & since it was broken I knew I could do something with it...make mold of it, why not! I used some Amazing Mold Putty & created a mold of it & a vintage flower from a hair clip & molded some Amazing Casting resin in them.

With a little paint & some gold & silver leaf I went to work adding some color & texture. I really love the vintage feel I was able to create on this pendant...perfect for Spring!

What vintage recycled pieces can you combine to make something new?

As usual you can find this & more of my works on my Facebook page LynzCraftz or my YouTube channel LynzCraftz or on my blog LynzCraftz.

Ink Jet Image Transfers on Polymer Clay

You've seen the YouTube videos & the blog post...lots of them, pretty images & wonderful projects each & every one of them but then you decide to try it yourself & discover...it doesn't work for you! Well that was my experience anyway...lol. First of all I didn't want to buy "special" paper or a new Laser Printer since my Ink Jet Printer is fairly new. I just wanted an easy way to do an image transfer onto polymer clay with good results...oh & did I mention...I just used plain copy paper!

First I got my images together...just some of my Art Journal images that I scaled down, edited & what ever else I could do to get them to fit on a pendant sized piece of clay. Then I printed them on my Ink jet Printer onto plain copy paper/printer paper. Now here's the trick part...using either a Matte Medium(I used the DecoArt Media range) or Decou-Page photo transfer medium by Americana(I'm sure there are others that would work too) paint a coat onto the image surface & let it dry then add a second coat & let that dry. It should look a little something like this...

Then roll out some white polymer clay(I used Premo)...now you can do this either way, raw or already baked clay...add another layer of the Matte Medium or Decou-Page PTM to the image & to the clay, flip the image over(Image side down to the clay) burnish it down well & bake(it wont hurt the medium, image or the paper). Once it's done(follow the package directions) let it cool. Then either in a bowl of water or with a squirt bottle(that's what I did) wet the back of the paper & let it set for a minute or so(you'll know it's been long enough when the paper turns translucent) then begin to gently rub until the paper begins to come off. Now you wont be able to get all of the paper off but don't worry...just stop rubbing if the ink begins to smear. Just remove the paper until the image appears & looks good to you. Let dry. Then you can coat the image with a sealer(I just used a satin sealer). Here's my results to this point...note I did have to draw some of the details back in on the first few pieces...

But then I got the hang of it! I boy O boy was it so enjoyable to watch these pieces come to life! I've added a layer of resin over the top(I used Amazing Clear Cast).

Some have a touch of glitter...

Some have a bit of Stickles/glitter glue...

Some of them have some iridescent flakes...

Some of them even have some micro beads...

& then of course I had to do one for the Doctor...Doctor Who!

I cant wait to use these in some of my projects...jewelry, mixed media...altered art projects...the sky is the limit with these! Oh the fun!
Well I did plan on this being a short post but I do get carried away sometimes(obvious isn't it...lol). Thanks so much for stopping by today...Till Next Time!

Shop Talk & Steamer Trunks

Just a quick Hello this morning from N. Texas! I don't normally take selfies...lol...but hey it's a lovely day & the sun is shining! Seriously though my reason for stopping by today is just to promote my shop a bit & to just chat & share a bit of what I've been up-to lately.

First if you click on the pic. below it will take you to my etsy shop, I've been tweaking around with it a bit lately.
I've listed my recent jewelry pieces & I'm thinking about adding some of my cloth dolls & some of my mixed media work? Still thinking about that.

I've also been altering my Grandfathers paint box, just a plywood box he had made to store his mixed paints in...he was a woodcarver & such a creative soul...I miss him daily.
Here's what it looked like inside(sorry I always forget to take a before pic...lol)...
I added some details with some fun foam...the straps, corners & the handle strapping are all fun foam. The handles are made of resin & I created them from a mold of an actually trunk handles my Hubby found while hunting Arrowheads a few weeks ago.
The I did the faux finish with DecoArt products & Andy Skinner's rust techniques. Super Fun!

Just a plain plywood box & now it has so much personality...It's magic!
Find something to alter & then go for it, it really is wonderful to give new life to something sitting in the corner or forgotten. Sound like a good excuse to go garage sale hunting to me...lol.
Thanks so much for joining me today...Till Next Time!

Sparkly Carousel Resin Ponies

Hello again, Lyn Gill here & I was inspired this week by some paper ponies I saw...I just knew I could make them in resin!
In this project I used the Amazing Remelt & I think i really put it through it's paces...I molded it in a foam board box(paper line foam board) & I made the horse pattern from a recycled box glued to fun foam, of course I used plenty of mold release. When I poured the Amazing Remelt in & let it set up I was surprised at how easy it actually was to remove. I used some Amazing Clear Cast resin with various Alumilite Dyes & Alumidust & a touch of glittered embossing powder to make these adorable ponies!

These would make such a cute piece of wall art or hanging from the bottom of some windchimes. Or maybe on a princesses door! Their so fun & so easy to create!

What type of paper craft could you reproduce in resin? Think of the possibilities!

Well thank you so much for joining is today here at Amazing Casting Products!...Till Next Time!

As always you can find my work here on my Blog LynzCraftz where I also have a pattern for this project,   or on YouTube at LynzCraftz or on my Facebook page at LynzCraftz
