My first altered art bottle, created early last year. Polymer clay over a recycled wine bottle. This is the front with the Mermaid Tears label done in a faux copper with patina. Painted with lots of iridescent acrylic paints & finished with an antiquing medium & clear satin glaze.

 Closer look at some of the barnacles, corals & dangling shells.

 The seaweed is made of translucent liquid polymer clay, tinted with a tiny amount of acrylic paint which causes the liquid clay to bubble/foam & gives a really interesting look.

A few added faux coins finish off the detail on this piece. I really just enjoyed myself & had a lot of fun with this piece & it's still one of my favorites.
