Fall with a Bit of Resin

Resin & polymer clay seem to just be made for each other. The deep clear top coat seems to magnify all the luscious details of each layer. Well I've been working with Lisa Pavelka's Magic Glos more these days & here's the results...

 I just love the results using the Magic Glos. Magic Glos is a UV Resin that cure in ultraviolet light...meaning sunlight or a UV curing light(the kind used in nail salons). It's a wonderful product, a bit pricey but well worth it. When I ran out I decided to use another tried & true product...TLS Translucent liquid scupley. Here's the results...

Yep...it's just TLS cure in the oven & then with my heat gun to clarify it.Then I added a coat of glass glaze to add some additional shine. I've done a tutorial for it on my YT channel, so check it out if you've got time...

Thinking of Fall

Ok it's still too hot here to be thinking about Fall but as an artist I have to think ahead, right? Right! So I started with some brooches...Premo clay & just a few touches of acrylic paints & antiquing.

And then I just had too go ahead & do one for Halloween...

and the just because...

Christmas! Well it's coming, you know it is...lol.

Polymer Clay Altered Bottle Italian Villa

Whew, that was a mouthful...lol. Ok so finally finished the Altered Art Bottle. An Italian Villa this time, it really turned out so sweet! Regular Sculpey original clay was used over the gesso & then baked & painted. I used my own shimmer spray & then glazed it with a satin finish. Then I added a lovely hanging "Vino" label & some grape clusters to a chain with Czech glass beads.

It's really not quite so bright but it was the best I could get...I need to learn to take better pictures...lol. Thanks so much for stopping by...Till Next Time!

Wow...where did July go?

Wow...where did July go? I realize it was Birthday month but really...just because I share my Birthday month with both of my sisters is no reason to get so busy...lol. Anyway...I have been working & staying busy...

Here's just a few of the pieces I've been working on...Premo & SculpeyIII, a little microfine glitter & Czech glass & semi-precious stone beads. Really beautiful pieces! I love the sparkle & shine!
